In today’s crazy-crazy digital world, convenience and style often go hand in hand. Imagine needing to buy food without fumbling for your wallet or worrying about your phone’s battery. This idea sparked the creation of the world’s smallest ASDA rewards card engraved in a stylish piece of jewellery. Here’s a glimpse into the creative process behind the piece.

A silver bracelet with charms on it.

The Spark of the Idea

The project is called "Starling Saver". I’m always on the lookout for practical solutions to everyday problems. We identified a common inconvenience: shoppers often find their ASDA rewards card useless when their phones run out of battery. This led us to a simple idea: what if the rewards card was seamlessly integrated into something you wear every day?

Creating the ASDA Rewards Card Bracelet

To bring this vision to life, we needed the expertise of skilled artisans. We collaborated with Rufus Dorey from FourPence. Made from 100% recycled 925 sterling silver. The centerpiece of the bracelet is a laser-engraved 'ASDA points' barcode. Surrounding the barcode are six hand-sculpted charms. These charms serve as a practical shopping list, reminding the wearer of essential items like cheese, pizza, a banana, broccoli, a baguette, and a bottle of Logan Pauls PRIME.

Each charm was sculpted by hand, ensuring that every detail was perfect and the barcode, though tiny, was engraved with a laser to ensure it was scannable at any ASDA checkout.

Conclusion

The Starling Saver bracelet shows how creativity can transform everyday hassles into creative solutions. But also, it shoes that creative ideas don't always need to have 50 pages of strategy and insight and that sometimes, but not always it can be just something you think is selfishly cool. Because, the chances are that there is probably another group of people that also think its cool.
