Showing TikTok’s passion for the beautiful game.
As part of TikTok’s partnership with UEFA EURO 2020™, we created a real-time campaign to showcase the platform’s passion for football. We created around 650 separate pieces of content across social including the selection of three TikTokers that caught our eye during the tournament. We then surprised them with Euros experiences they will never forget.
These special moments helped our EURO2020™ campaign achieve 5X TikTok’s average engagement rate during the tournament period and delivered over 230m views.
The UK winner, @mosduckrell, was treated to a tour of Wembley Stadium by Ashley Cole, the former England left-back who was named in the EURO 2004 All-Star Squad.
In Germany, @aylinyaren_ was chosen and enjoyed a chat and watched a game with with 1980 UEFA European Championship winner Lothar Matthäus.
@paulo_le_ from France found out via a surprise video call from former Les Bleus forward David Trezeguet who promptly visited him at home to watch a EURO 2020 match together.
The campaign covered key European markets, with content delivered at scale for the UK, France, Germany and Italy. And to cap off the tournament, we created a one-minute film which aired at Wembley during halftime at the final, thanking fans for showing their support on TikTok.
